PROGRAM
Our program is approved by the New York State Education Department and is
designed to make students as involved as possible in the learning process, while
help them to make the best possible use of their time.
We offer twelve stages of the Callan Method English. After the completion of
each stage of the method, students are given exams to determine how well they
learned vocabulary and grammar. Once
they achieve a mastery of that stage, then they can advance to the next one.
The structure of the method ensures that students increase their
knowledge of grammar and vocabulary step by step. The Callan Method English is
focused on teaching students basic grammar of English and the most essential
vocabulary. By the time students have completed all twelve stages of the method,
they will have mastered the 5,621 most common words of the English language.
Once students master all twelve stages, they receive a Certificate of
Completion. This certificate
verifies that students are well prepared to converse in English.
This level of competence is essential for anyone who needs to be able to
read English, to live in an English-speaking country, to study at American
universities and colleges, or to work with English speakers.
The key factors of the Callan Method English are its calculated and systematic
approach to the teaching of language, and its determination to maximize student
involvement. Students learn best by speaking and listening. The pace of the
classes immerses students in the language. Repetition engages the memory, while
frequent revision of what was learned encourages accuracy.
